More iPhones Sold in China than US for First Time in 2014

Apple reportedly sold more iPhones in China than the US during 2014, for the first time ever.
Ahead of Apples financial results, revealed later today, the FT cites forecasts from a number of analysts that put China as the companys biggest market for the year.
Creative Strategies estimates that 2m more iPhones were sold in China than the US during the past quarter. 
According to UBS, China accounted for 36 per cent of iPhone shipments in the last quarter, versus 24 per cent in the US. A year earlier, the two markets made up 22 per cent and 29 per cent of shipments respectively.
Not coincidentally, 2014 was also the first year that Apple sold its devices through China Mobile, the single largest mobile network operator in the country, after the two companies struck a deal at the tail end of the previous year.
