Blis Appoints Former Turn CEO as Chairman of the Board

has announced the appointment of Bill Demas, former president and CEO of Turn, as chairman of its board. Prior to his time at Turn, Demas has held senior executive roles at Overture, Yahoo, Microsoft and IBM.
"Bill has a proven track record in building fast-growth technology businesses," said Greg Isbister, founder and CEO of Blis. "Now with Bill added to Blis' seasoned team of board emembers, we believe the company is ready to accelerate and fully realise its potential as the leading location advertising platform for global marketers."
At Turn, Demas has helped invent two new digital marketing software categories; demand side platforms for media execution and data management platforms for audience targeting and segmentation. These were aimed at disrupting the traditional ad network model and highlighting the power of programmatic ad technology across display, mobile, video and social advertising.

Industry Brings in New Creative Director

has brought in Garrett Reil as its new Creative Director, where he will grow and develop the creative team, with oversight over all brand and digital work the company produces.

David Gosen Named as SVP and Managing Director of International at Rocket Fuel
Programmatic marketing platform Rocket Fuel
has recruited David Gosen to serve as the firm's senior vice president and managing director of international, where he will oversee all of the company's business and operation activities across the international division, as well as leading the sales functions.
Gosen joins from Nektan, and has served as CEO and managing director in a number of companies across the media, ad tech, telecoms, digital and mobile industries, including BSkyB, Microsoft and Nielsen, where he was instrumental in the launch of Nielsen Online and cross screen campaign ratings across Europe.
