Salmon Leaps for New Digital Business Consultant
Global eCommerce consultancy Salmon has appointed Hugh Fletcher as digital business consultant, focusing on helping the firms clients achieve digital transformation, formulating digital-ready aims and helping businesses change organisationally.

Fletcher joins from Audi, one of Salmons clients, where he worked for six years as digital marketing director, leading digital business transformation and considering the future of digital in the automotive manufacturers. He previously held a number of marketing and digital roles in the Volkswagen Group.

“From my experiences as their client, I know very well that Salmon combines outstanding creativity and technical expertise,” said Fletcher. “I am thrilled to be joining the agency and bringing my experience of achieving digital transformation at Audi to Salmons wide range of clients.”

Pegasystems Names Tom Libretto as CMO
Tom Libretto has joined software firm Pegasystems as chief marketing officer and senior vice president. He will report to founder and CEO Alan Trefler, and lead the companys global marketing initiatives including brand, advertising, marketing and corporate communications.

“Tom has an exceptional combination of deep B2B and B2C marketing experience with some of the worlds leading brands that will serve us well as continue to expand our client base,” said Trefler. “His background provides a valuable perspective on our business as well as the challenges and opportunities our clients face in todays digital world.”

Libretto has more than 20 years of marketing leadership experience in global tech firms including Lotus, IBM and Nokia, and most recently served as managing director and global head of digital experience at JPMorgan Chase.

Dafna Sarnoff Joins Tech and Media Firm Intersection
Former senior vice president of marketing at Yodle Dafna Sarnoff is to become the new chief marketing officer at Intersection, the technology and media firm behind the LinkNYC network.

As CMO, Sarnoff will lead global marketing and communications efforts as the company expands its solutions to cities, transit authorities, retail, airports and mixed-use real estate developments globally.

“Intersection is leading a transformation across multiple industries by bridging the gap between physical and digital experiences across the customer journey,” said Sarnoff. “The new level of capabilities and sophistication our products are delivering is improving the lives of people in cities and communities, and represents an untapped opportunity for brands and businesses. Im looking forward to helping them realise those benefits, and Im thrilled about the opportunities ahead of us.

MEC Wavemaker Hires New Content Partnerships Director
Danny Weitzkorn has come aboard MEC Wavemaker, the content division of MEC, as its content partnerships director. The company is aiming to boost its UK management line up, with Weitzkorn set to lead integrated content partnerships for clients and deliver insight driven solutions.

Weitzkorn joins from Ball Street, the UK multi-platform football network, where he was client services and marketing director. While there, he worked with brands including Budweiser and Littlewoods to create new content platforms.

“Danny has an impressive record of working at some of the UKs best specialist content agencies,” said Matt Davies, joint UK managing director of MEC Wavemaker. “His varied and deep expertise is indicative of the kind of skillset we are actively seeking to enable us to measurably improve our clients brand performance.”

Joint Heads of Strategy Appointed at Mcgarrybowen
Ad agency Mcgarrybowen has re-engineered its planning department, welcoming Rory Gallery and Chris McKibbin as joint heads of strategy. The pair join from Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO and Adjust Your Set respectively.

“In uncertain time strategy is more important than ever, but its in need of radical reinvention,” said Jason Gonsalves, CEO of Mcgarrybowen. “By colliding their respective skills – Rory in real brand and advertising experience and Chris in data, technology and content – we are making a big step-change for the agency.”

McKibbin has worked at J Walter Thompson Worldwide previously, while Gallery worked at Host in his native Australia. Between them, they have worked with brands including Guinness, Sainsburys, Seimens, Bacardi and Marks & Spencer.
