Nissan Rogue and Star WarsJapanese automaker Nissan has teamed up with Lucasfilm to create a Star Wars themed VR experience to coincide with the home entertainment release of Rogue one: A Star Wars Story.

‘Battle Test: A Nissan 360-Degree Virtual Reality Experience’ places fans in the middle of a simulated battlefield from the movie – where the user is placed inside a Nissan Rouge in the heart of the action.

"With this experience, we're putting fans right in the middle of the action," said Jeremy Tucker, VP of marketing communications & media at Nissan North America, Inc. "One of the many goals we set out to accomplish through this wildly successful collaboration was to engage current and potential customers.”

The visual effects in the experience come from Industrial Light & Magic – with custom sound design from Skywalker Sound.

The VR experience is available on Oculus, Steam, Samsung VR, Discovery VR, Jaunt, Daydream and Littlestar, as well as Nissan’s Facebook and YouTube accounts.
