Paragon Launches Localization Solution

Paragon Software Group, which develops software applications for mobile devices and PCs, has announced the release of Turkish and Arabic localization packages on the recently-launched Samsung  SGH-i780 mobile communicator. The agreement between Paragon and Samsung will enable full native interface translation, text input and handwriting recognition in the Turkish and Arabic languages on the device through a Paragon software application CD bundled with the device.
Localized for the Turkish and Arabic markets, the package allows full translation of the interface, with national onscreen and hardware keyboards, and convenient switching between Arabic or Turkish to English. Also included in the bundle is Paragons PenReader multilingual handwriting recognition software, enabling handwriting recognition text input in Turkish or Arabic. PenReader does not require special training or adjustment to ones handwriting, says Paragaon, and will be ready to use as soon as the device is turned on, making work on the SGH-i780 more comfortable and effective.
The Turkish- and Arabic-optimized SGH-i780 represents the latest in a series of offerings in the partnership between Samsung and Paragon. The SGH-i780 GPS Smartphone runs Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional, and features 150MB of internal memory, a 2-megapixel camera, HSDPA support, wi-fi technology and Bluetooth. It has a full QWERTY keyboard, in addition to its 2.55-inch full-touch LCD screen and optical joystick.
