Polar Mobile Launches Polar Premium

Polar Mobile has unveiled Polar Premium, a premium mobile ad network designed to enable agencies, brands and marketers to reach high-value audiences at scale, and benefit from increased audience intelligence. Polar also announced today that Jeff Anderson has joined the company as vice president of media sales. He joins Polar after a 15-year career with AOL, Microsoft, Canwest and Pattison. Additionally, the company says that later this year, it will introduce MediaEverywhere, an HTML5-based solution to distribute media content in a multi-platform environment.

Polar Premium is divided into channels (News & Business, Sports, and Lifestyle & Entertainment) and supports placement of display banner and rich media advertising on mobile websites and mobile apps across all major devices. Polar is leveraging trusted third-party reporting and ad server systems to enable seamless integration into clients’ existing business processes.

“We are building on the success of our publishing platform and now helping our customers monetize premium mobile inventory, says CEO, Kunal Gupta. “Smartphones and Tablets have changed the way media is consumed, and we recognize the opportunity for brands to reach and engage new audiences. Hundreds of premium publishers work with Polar, and long-term, we plan to leverage robust analytics from our software platform to provide brands with better intelligence on the audiences they are reaching through their mobile marketing efforts.”

Polar Premium clients will benefit from reach and scale across hundreds of premium publishers who work with Polar today, including Condé Nast, The Hockey News, Canadian Living, NHLPA, Toronto Star, Elle and the Wall Street Journal. Polar says it is a trusted partner for premium publishers looking to distribute their content to smartphones and Tablet devices, having launched over 1,200 mobile apps, served over 1.8bn pages views, and reached over 12m users in 150 countries.
