Popworld, the music entertainment brand and C4 television show, has launched a mobizine which will allow music fans to download Popworld content directly to their mobile phone. The agreement with Refresh Mobile
sees Popworld launching its mobizine across all five major UK networks:
Orange, 02, T-Mobile, Vodafone, and 3. It will provide Popworld fans
with daily news, reviews and gossip five days a week. Each edition
costs 12p on average (depending on the network operator data charges),
and is downloaded straight to viewers mobile phones on request. Music
fans can sing up for the mobizines by texting mobi popworld to: 63333.
The daily update include news from the Popworld TV show presenters
Alex and Alexa, celebrity interviews, features, competitions, and the
latest updates on Popworld Promotes, the brands multimedia initiatives designed to uncover new music talent. We
are committed to providing Popworld fans and music lovers with a
complete music offering through a multimedia platform says Popworld
CEO Martin Lowde. The launch of the mobizine adds an additional
dimension to the complete music experience, making Popworld content
instantly accessible at any time, and allowing fans to be entertained
with the very latest music news and gossip wherever they are, whenever
they want.
For Refresh Mobile, CEO Scott Beaumont adds:
We
are delighted to be launching the Popworld Mobizines service, providing
an innovative platform for a pioneering brand. Over 13 million people
accessed Internet content via their mobile phones in the UK during July
of this year. This is part of a growing trend that sees consumers
wanting to access information via their mobile. Mobile is the most
personalised and universal medium available, and will be a fantastic
channel for Popworld to speak directly to its fans.
