Poynt Goes Native

Poynt Corporation has announced the availability of the Poynt app for Windows Phone 7 users in Germany, France, Italy and Spain, in their respective native local languages.

Using Poynt, users can search for businesses, retailers, restaurants and cinema listings. The cinema section provides showtimes, trailers and film ratings, while the restaurant section allows users to search restaurants by cuisine, name or proximity. Poynt allows users to interact with the listing through mapping locations, viewing restaurant information, booking dinner reservations and viewing local weather forecasts.

Users can add search results to their calendar or send details to friends via email as well as share listings via Facebook or Twitter without exiting the application. One of the unique qualities of the Windows Phone 7 device includes the pivot feature, which facilitates toggling between different features and screens.

“Poynt for Windows Phone 7 extends our local search solution to even more European consumers in these regions,” says Poynt Copr. CEO, Andrew Osis, CEO. “Windows Phone 7 is poised to be a successful platform worldwide, and we are extremely excited to offer the Poynt application in more languages to more users.”
