Qualcomm Expands Snapdragon Games

Qualcomm has announced the expansion of the Snapdragon GamePack, along with GameCommand, a new showcase app which, the company says, “further bolsters the supply of console-quality and casual games for Snapdragon-enabled mobile devices”. GameCommand will draw together all of the Snapdragon featured games in a single place.

The range of available Snapdragon-compatible games, which already exceeded 100 titles, will grow further, including numerous exclusive titles and a number of high-end PC games, including the mobile debut of Tripwire Interactives The Ball, which was PC Gamers 2010 Action-Adventure Game of the Year.

“We waited to enter the mobile market until we could bring a top-of-the-line PC game experience to mobile devices,” says Alan Wilson, vice president of Tripwire Interactive. “Snapdragon processors now give us the power to do that.”

Qualcomm has also announced the expansion of its Snapdragon S4 class of next-generation mobile processors; the enhancement of its Snapdragon S1 solutions for entry-level smartphones; and Gobi 4000, the latest version of is embedded data connectivity platforms.
