Football club Real Madrid has launched its fifth branded app, Starscup. Developed by From The Bench, the trading card app offers a turn-based strategy game which can be played online.
“It’s a very ambitious project and, thanks to these new technologies, we can offer a new real-time experience to our fans, and provide them with cutting-edge apps that are unlike any other titles on the market,” says Pedro Duarte, Real Madrids head of new media. 
The app is the third produced as part of Real Madrids partnership with Digital Artists Entertainment, which creates digital content platforms for sports franchises.
