Redknee Secures Roaming Patent

Redknee Solutions, which provides infrastructure software that monetises and personalises services and content for mobile users, has revealed that it has been issued US Patent No. 7,181,210 for its “Method and system for international roaming and call bridging.” The Patent provides, among other things, a “method for bridging calls across telecommunications networks” “without requiring modifications to existing core network or handset infrastructure.”
Redknee says it enables network operators to maximise the value of existing network infrastructure, while providing an evolutionary path for new advanced personalisation and monetisation solutions for both mobile and fixed networks.
Its customer base includes 30 mobile communications service providers, delivering services to over 275 million wireless subscribers in over 20 countries. Redknees customers include four of the 10 largest mobile communications service providers or groups worldwide as determined by subscriber count. The Groups ISO 9001:2000 certified infrastructure software provides these mobile communications service providers with the capability to monetise and personalise up to 2.4 billion transactions every month.
This Patent reflects our technology leadership in real-time personalisation and related solutions, as well as our strategy to build as well as protect our core intellectual property portfolio,” says Redknee CTO Bohdan Zabawskyj.
