Children’s entertainment app specialist Cupcake Digital has worked with Twentieth Century Fox to build a companion app for the Rio 2 film.
The offical app gives users a preview of the new movie, plus three interactive games to keep kids occupied. It has been released on iOS, Android, Kindle and Nook with an introductory price of 99 cents. Full price will be $2.99.
Twentieth Century Fox is clearly not afraid of innovating around its movies, the first Rio film also became Angry’s Birds first entertainment tie in back in 2011. 
Cupcake Digital also created the RIO Read & Play app for the first RIO.
