Skol Beats Festival Goes Mobile

Brazilian mobile marketing agency Pontomobi is launching a campaign to promote the Skol Beats festival, a major electronic music festival in Brazil, sponsored by Inbev.
This year, for the first time, members of the public will make all the decisions about every aspect of the event, from the location to the DJ line-up. An online and offline campaign will invite music fans to text the word BEATS to the shortcode 49221 to access the mobile site (campanhas.mobi/skolbeats) and cast their votes.
There will be other mobile interactions too. The online campaign will include interactive banners, which will enable consumers to enter their mobile number to receive an SMS-link to access the mobile site.
The event itself will feature Bluetooth stations distributing exclusive content, including ringtones, wallpapers and videos. Skol Beats takes place mid-September, with the organisers expecting more than 60,000 people to attend.
