Sponge Makes Fast Growth Chart

Mobile marketing solutions company Sponge is celebrating its fourth year of being ranked in Media Momentums league table of the Top 50 fastest growing UK new media companies.
Sponge, which creates mobile marketing campaigns for leading brands including Coca-Cola, publishing giant Northern & Shell, Unilever and Walkers, ranked number 39 in this years list.
Media Momentum is an annual event which recognises the achievements of the most innovative and fastest growing digital media companies. Its run by technology investment bank GP Bullhound, and supported by media partners New Media Age and Mobile Entertainment. Sponsors include Sky Digital Media.
This years Top 50 companies have collectively grown their revenue base from 185 million to 587 million in two years.
Several other companies in the mobile space featured in this years list, including Mobile Commerce (28th), Mobile Streams (24th), Ad.iQ (17th) and Mobile Interactive Group, which finished top of the table, having grown its turnover from 252,000 for the financial year 2004/05, to 29.8 million in 2006/07.
Its encouraging that seven mobile companies feature in this years Top 50, and shows that the repeated clarion calls announcing that this is the year of the mobile are indeed true, says Sponge Chairman and Co-founder, Alex Meisl. Certainly we are seeing more activity from our client-base than ever before.
