Starbucks Adds In-app Tipping on iOS

From next week, Starbucks app users on iOS in the UK, US and Canada will be able to tip their barista anything from 50? to $2 (£1.20).
Users will be sent a push notification while still in store giving them the option to tip their server, with a two-hour window for them to make the payment. App users will have to update the app to make use of this function. 
Starbucks now processes 5m mobile transactions every week in the US, revealed in an analyst briefing ahead of its annual shareholder meeting, growing by 2m since March last year. Mobile now represents 11 per cent of US transactions.
