Telepo Wins ICT Prize

Swedish software company Telepo has won the prestigious 2007 European ICT Prize for innovation in information and communications Technology, for its for Business Communication Solution. The product recently won the GSM Association 2007 Award for best mobile enterprise product. The Grand Prize was presented at the CeBIT trade fair today by Commissioner Viviane Reading. 
The Telepo Business Communication Solution 3.0 solves the convergence needs of enterprises with rapidly growing mobile workforces. It extends the range of advanced voice and messaging functions and provides intelligent call control and routing across fixed, IP and mobile devices. 
Two other European companies joined Telepo on the Grand Prize podium: Transitive Corporation from the United Kingdom and Treventus Mechatronics from Austria, each company receiving an award of 200,000 (137,000).
Telepo CEO Lars-Michal Paqvaln said he was very peased to win the prize.
This is an encouragement for us when developing new converged multimedia solutions that enable business users to be fully mobile with a virtual office he said. To achieve true mobility, companies need to be able to re-use existing investments, and our technology enables them to do that, with a fast return on investment. 
The European ICT prize is organised by the European Commission. The winners were selected from a total of 450 companies from 30 countries.
