thetrainline Launches Loyalty Scheme

Loyalty scheme provider O-VOUCHERS has announed that it has signed an exclusive partnership with thetrainline.com

The scheme will provide train travellers with exclusive discounts on a range of products and services, says the company. Among the first major companies to sign up for the programme are Argos, Furniture Village, Laura Ashley, Packard Bell, Royal Opera House, T-Mobile, Virgin Media, and Vision Express.

The offers will be distributed via thetrainline.coms newsletters, and some of the discounts will be redeemable by showing the voucher to a vendor on a mobile phone. Other offers will be redeemable through printable vouchers or promotional codes for e-retailers.

“Like all good ideas, O-VOUCHERS roots are founded on a simple premise – accurate, cost-effective targeting that enhances brand value, while eliminating wastage,” says Richard Baker, joint managing director of Amberhand, the company behind the new programme. “O-VOUCHERS get straight to the heart of our partners audience, reaching them at a time when they are of the right mind-set, receptive and already predisposed towards buying. Whats more it is completely free for the consumer with no joining fees or tie-ins. What makes thetrainline.com such a perfect fit is that its demographic is attractive to a whole range of advertisers.”

Omid Golshan, head of partnerships at thetrainline.com says: “At thetrainline.com our aim is to help rail passengers save money when booking their train travel. With this in mind were always on the lookout for partnerships which benefit our customers. O-VOUCHERS perfectly complements our offering by giving people the opportunity to make further savings on a wide range of products.”
