Times Mobile Launches Mobile Going Out Guide

Times Mobile has launched a Going Out Guide service, utilising Mobile Commerces RoundU application. Going Out Guide is a free-to-use service integrating both handset location and Times Recommended RSS feeds for film, eating and music, which enables the Times to dynamically promote specific recommended films, restaurants and music events.
Going Out Guide also incorporates standard RoundU functionality, which means that users can find and book tickets at their local cinema, with the process eased by combining cinema listings data and movie reviews with location-based technology, booking lines and maps, all in one place. The service also includes full arts & entertainment listings, enabling users to find clubs, special events and gigs. Also part of the service are restaurants, bars, pubs, nearest cashpoints and more – thanks to the aggregation of listings from numerous content partners. This service also includes full Thomson business listings.
The service has also been integrated with Mobile Commerces ad server, allowing Times Mobile to monetise the service with relevant advertising and sponsorship.
Any company can put their own look and feel on to RoundU using an easy to complete style sheet, with the end result easy to navigate quickly and looking great for the user, says Mobile Commerce CEO, Steve Page. The Times is one of the most respected media brands in the world and we are delighted to be working with them.
