Trutap Upgrades Social Networking App

Trutap has announced the roll-out of the latest version of its mobile social networking application. In addition to a new design, the new version gives users live updates from all their friends, wherever they are.
Key features of the application, which anyone can download for free include a personal newsfeed; Whos online, status & location, extended profile, a searchable user directory, private messaging, email, SMS, blogging, photo-sharing and mobile IM. (Instant Messaging).
Trutap recently announced that it is partnering with leading content providers to deliver daily news and entertainment to its user base. The company says it aims to set the standard for mobile social networks. TruTap currently has 250,000 users around the world.
Trutap is targeted at mid-to-high-range mobile phones that make up 85% of the market. It has a high penetration in countries such as India and Indonesia, where the iPhone and Blackberry are still considered luxury handsets. The new version will be rolled out to over 450 mobile phones by the end of 2008 and many more early in 2009.
The new version of Trutap raises the bar for mobile social networking, says Trutap CEO, Doug Richard.
