Tune Acquires Artisan Mobile

TUNESaaS mobile marketing platform Tune has Artisan Mobile for an undisclosed sum.

Artisan is an analytics, testing and marketing automation solution, which will be used to deliver a more robust toolkit for marketers looking for insight into every stage of user acquisition and engagement, according to Tunes statement.

The company will be maintaining Artisans core engineering team, with head of engineering Dan Koch joining Tune as director of mobile marketing automation. Current Artisan customers will be able to log in and continue using the product using a transitional period, though the implication is that its technology will then be folded into Tunes own offering. Former Artisan CEO Bob Moul will be kept on in an advisory role to smooth this transition.
