Online gaming company Virgin Games and mobile marketing agency Somo have come together to launch Virgin Casino Mobile. Developed as a web application, Virgin Casino Mobile features games powered by Microgaming’s QuickFire technology and uses Virgin Games’ single wallet system.
“With smartphone penetration now exceeding 40 per cent in the UK, customers want and expect to be able to do on their phone what they do on their PC. With the launch of Virgin Casino Mobile we’re simply responding to this demand,” says Simon Burridge, CEO of Virgin Games. “While the gaming industry has been on the cusp of a mobile revolution for some time, 2011 has really been the year when the planets have aligned to make mobile gaming a more attractive proposition.”
As well as being responsible for the delivery of every stage of the project for Virgin Games, from concept and design to development and execution, Somo will promote the service through mobile media post-launch.
