Wattpad has responded to the increase in readership of e-books on mobile with several improvements to its iPhone/iPad app. The latest version the app enables users to use their iPhone/iPad to vote and share comments on stories and socialize with other readers in the Wattpad community.

“iPhone is by far the most popular device for reading ebooks from Wattpad,” says Wattpad CEO, “As Wattpad has become the destination for readers to not only find stories but interact and post comments with other members, we wanted to provide better access to the broad social networking features available on Wattpad’s main site.”

Writers on Wattpad continue to add to their stories by posting You Tube videos, image slideshows and songs; creating unique, multi-media ebooks. The latest version of the Wattpad iPhone/iPad app allows readers to experience these integrated add-ons from their mobile devices.

The new version of the app also offers new content discovery features, optimised iPad display, new touchscreen controls, enhanced library management and improved offline capabilities. Readers can also save all chapters of a story to their iPhone, iPod touch or iPad to read offline.
