Mobile data usage in the UAE (United Arab Emirates) is rising rapidly, as mobile users in the region become increasingly reliant on content from mobile apps and the mobile web to help them go about their daily lives.

According to research from Plus7, 50 per cent of internet users in the UAE access the internet via a mobile device, with news and information cited by respondents as the principal drivers for going online on their mobile. The same study also found that more than 55 per cent of mobile users in the region had downloaded more than 10 apps to their mobile phone.

This whitepaper from twofour54 examines mobile web and mobile app usage in the UAE region, looking at the key drivers behind consumer mobile behaviour and outlining the opportunities for operators and others in the mobile marketing ecosystem to tap into the seemingly insatiable demand for mobile data services.
