WWE Begins Advertising on Mobile Streaming Service

wwe on androidWWE has begun advertising on the mobile version of its streaming online network that launched earlier this year in the US.

The launch of the WWE Network is part of a move by the entertainment company to reach audiences on more viewing platforms than it has in the past, and has included a deliberate move towards streaming content on mobile channels.

Among the brands advertising on the 24-hour network are Pepsi, Mattel and Kmart, with adverts also accompanying the over 2,000 hours of on demand video available through the service.

Delivered through over-the-top digital distribution, the WWE Network is available through in-browser services, as well as mobile applications on Android, iOS and Amazon Fire TV and Kindle Fire devices.

The company has also recently appointed a new Chief Digital Officer, Lou Schwartz, whose primary focus will be on expanding WWEs digital and social media presence and profitability, and overseeing product development and operations for the WWE Network.
