Challenger brand To The Moon, a SIM-only mobile network, has launched it’s first fintech product, a combined mobile and debit card service in one app. The app enables To The Moon users to manage their use of both the Pay-as-you-go network and the To The Moon debit card. The company said it had launched the service in direct response to the buying behaviours of its tech-savvy, digitally native consumers, who manage most of their networks, subscriptions and banking services from their mobile device.
Existing To The Moon Mobile customers can apply for a debit card without providing any additional ID to open their accounts in seconds. The service will be available in both GBP and EUR currencies, with no hidden fees. Users will be able to link their To The Moon debit card with Apple Pay and Google Pay by end of November
For the first 1,000 customers, To The Moon will be offering a special orange limited edition card. After that it will be a teal card to match the brand’s company colours. It is also offering a £10 welcome bonus to all its mobile customers who decide to use the debit account.
Customer support is available each day from 9am – 9pm, via eight channels, including WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DM, Twitter DM, Website Live Chat, App chat, email and phone.
“Gen Z and Millennials want technology that is faster, more convenient, efficient and accessed at a touch from their smart phone,” said To The Moon UK CEO, Andy Hallam. “Consumers are now accessing social media apps years before they can have a debit card, which means traditional financial institutions are lagging behind in how younger consumers want to operate. At To The Moon Mobile, we are providing innovative mobile and fin-tech services to equip them for the future.”
