10m Downloads for Barclaycard Rollercoaster App

Mobile users around the world across the globe have been riding the digital rollercoaster on Barclaycards Rollercoaster Extreme iPhone App, racking up a 150,000 hours of gameplay, with over 10m downloads worldwide.

Gamers from 80 countries have been riding the digital rollercoaster on the app in a bid to get to the top of the Barclaycard leaderboard. Once at the top, the four leading gamers come January will be invited to Las Vegas where theyll take part in a global play-off and battle it out for the ultimate prize of £50,000.

In addition, each month between now and then, Barclaycard will reward the leading gamer with an Apple iPad. To date Barclaycard has given away three iPads to gamers across the globe since the competition launched in July.

Rollercoaster Extreme brings the Barclaycard Rollercoaster ad campaign to the iPhone and iPad. The game builds on the success of Waterslide Extreme, which hit the number one download spot in 57 countries and has enjoyed over 12m downloads to date. Players ride the rollercoaster through four New York environments, avoiding the obstacles and racing against the clock.
