1.1bn Rich Voice-ready Smartphones Shipping in 2016

1.1bn mobile phones with Siri-style rich voice control capability will ship in 2016, according to a report from ARCchart.
ARCchart predicts a move away from basic voice control functions, such as simple voice tags, and into rich voice capabilities, which leverage artificial intelligence to enable users to ask questions without having to adhere to a rigid syntax.
The growth will be driven by advances in mobile computing power and usage of artificial intelligence – and its a natural progression, says ARCchart, given that the smartphone is primarily a voice-driven device.
