Amobee has been working with Telefónica Digital on its Tu Me download campaign which saw the app reach the number one spot in Spain and Brazils free App Store category. It also got to number two in France.
The free iOS and Android OTT app wants to be the go-to cross-device communication tool, bringing together text, talk, photos and location sharing. The campaign focused on countries with high smartphone penetration, including the US, India, Philippines, Mexico, Spain and Brazil, with the ad content localised for each geography. It delivered 1.5m downloads costing fewer than €1 each.
“With the mobile campaign created by Amobee, Telefónica ensured that the TU Me ads were relevant to each potential customers location and demographic profile. We were thrilled with the results of this campaign because we saw a significant uplift in app downloads from Android and iOS device users,” said John Bartleson, global marketing director of Telefónica Digital. “This campaign demonstrates that mobile advertising is uniquely suited to achieve specific business results.”
Telefónica Digital is also working with handset manufacturers to get the platform preloaded on devices.
