Broadcaster France 24 says that its France 24 Live mobile app for all smartphones has been downloaded more than 1m times since its launch in March 2009.
Almost 80 per cent of downloads have come from outside France, with Europe accounting for 50 per cent, Africa 20 per cent, N. America 15 per cent, and Asia almost 15 per cent.
To celebrate the success of the app, which uses Mobiclip’s VDS video distribution platform, France 24 says it will be enriched by new programs on demand, including The Press Review, The Observers, Technophile and Reports.
