Mobile technology company 2ergo has posted a strong set of preliminary results, with turnover up 13% to 33.3 million, gross profit up 45% to 8.6 million, and gross margins up from 20% to 26%, which the company says is ahead of expectations.
2ergo says it is seeing increasing market demand for its convergent mobile and Internet Solutions.
Over the past 12 months, the company has completed a successful demerger of mobile security technology company Broca, in which it retains a 19.9% shareholding. It also acquired a US subsidiary, Proteus. Its customers include News Corporation, for whom it has developed a number of mobile products for a wide array of FOX brands. Proteus also works with the largest US operator, AT&T, for whom it has developed Proteus has developed an application that allows the companys marketing department to manage their subscriber lists and communicate with customers using interactive SMS campaigns. Marketing staff are using the solution to drive ARPU and enhance the customer experience.
