3 Promotes 4G Rollout with Personalised Video Campaign

ThreeUK operator 3 has launched its first video messaging campaign, in order to promote the rollout of its 4G network.

The campaign will run throughout the year, sending the video to 3 subscribers on 4G-ready devices as the rollout reaches their area via SMS.

It stars 3 CEO Dave Dyson, explaining how the service works as chaos ensues in the background – tying into its recent TV campaigns, themed around ‘silly stuff matters’, which have featured singing cats and dancing ponies.

The video also features a customisation element, using one of 4,500 recorded variants to include an actor reading out the recipients first name.
