45 per cent of Groupon Transactions Made on Mobile

During March, Groupon saw a record 45 per cent of its transactions in North American come from mobile. By comparison, that number was just under 30 per cent in March 2012.
The numbers were announced as part of Groupons Q1 results, which also revealed that, worldwide, more than 7m people downloaded its apps over the three month period.
Overall, the company saw revenues increase by eight per cent year-on-year, to a total $601.4m for the quarter. The majority of this growth came from North American, where revenues grew by 42 per cent – offsetting a decline of 18 per cent internationally.
Groupon still made a net loss of $3.2m, though thats still a great improvement on the Q4, 2012, figure of $81.1m.
