$74bn of Transactions with NFC by 2015, Predicts Juniper

NFC (Near Field Communications) technology will facilitate transactions valued at $74bn by 2015, according to a study by Juniper Research. And, the Mobile Commerce Markets report shows, the rapid adoption of mobile devices for commerce doesnt stop with NFC – money transfers, banking, payments and coupons are all forecast to exhibit significant growth rates.
“Four segments of mCommerce – money transfer, physical goods, NFC and coupons – will more than treble in transaction value over the next three years,” says report author David Snow.
