7GeGe Tasks Digby With Mobile Site Build

7GeGe.com, a leading Chinese fashion retailer, has announced today a partnership to launch a mobile-optimized website through mobile commerce firm Digby before  the year’s end.

The mobile site will enable shoppers to research and buy items in as little as 60 seconds. It will product photographs and descriptions, shop by category, store locator, email signup, order tracking, ratings and reviews, promotional offers, and email a friend capabilities, as well as a complete site search.

According to new research from the IHS iSuppli China Electronics Supply Chain service, Chinese smartphone shipments will increase by a 53 per cent this year. Domestic smartphone shipments are predicted to rise to 54.1m units in 2011, up from 35.3m units in 2010.
