Actel Joins with SLA Mobile for Direct Operator Billing

sla actelWorldwide solutions vendor SLA Mobile has partnered with Actel, a major value-added service provider, to bring Direct Operator Billing (DOB) to Actels subscribers.

The partnership compliments SLA Mobiles introduction of DOB to the Zain Group in the Middle East, where Actel has a strong presence. Actel will now be able to bring DOB to Zain subscribers for their list of more than 300 digital and virtual goods merchants throughout the Middle East and Africa, which includes media companies, content distributors and advertising agencies.

DOB, also known as carrier billing, enables users to purchase digital and virtual content and charge purchases direct to their mobile phone bill or prepaid credit. It creates a seamless, secure and convenient mobile payment option where there is no need to enter credit card details, which can be essential in emerging markets like Africa.

“We are continually looking for the best payment solutions for our clients,” said Khalil Khalil, head of business operations at Actel. “SLA Mobiles Direct Operator Billing solution will allow our users access to a seamless payment experience through their mobile phones.”

“We are delighted to partner with Actel and connect their global client base to mobile operators through Direct Operator Billing,” said Amelia Power, head of sales and marketing at SLA Mobile. “This partnership is another validation of the importance of Direct Operator Billing as a key mobile payment option for digital and virtual content and services.”
