Actimagine Hires MP3 Specialist

Mobile video codec specialist Actimagine has appointed Henri Linde as President Americas, effective immediately, to lead its newly opened Californian office. Previously Vice President of Intellectual Property & Licensing at Thomson, Linde will drive Actimagines operations in North America.
During his 12 year tenure at Thomson, based in Paris and San Diego, Linde initiated, structured and managed Thomsons MP3 licensing programme, under which practically all manufacturers of MP3 players and other MP3 products are now licensed. He successfully established MP3 as the industry standard of audio formats, and will strive to meet the same aim for Mobiclip, in line with Actimagines strategy.
We are very proud to welcome Henri on board says Actimagine CEO, Andre Pagnac. His background, experience and personality perfectly match the companys objective: establishing Mobiclip as the de facto standard of video on mobile. The US market is crucial in our global development strategy because many of the worlds leading studios and content providers are based in America.
Actimagine has made a promising start in the US. A few months after the opening of its first US office, the company has been nominated as a finalist for the Red Herring 100 award, which goes to 100 selected private companies in North America that play a leading role in innovation and technology.
