Ad Festival Embraces Mobile

Danish mobile marketing firms BLIP Systems and N'volve will showcase the opportunities presented by Location Based mobile marketing at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival in June.
This year, for the first time, the Festival includes a Mobile Marketing workshop. The workshop, which takes place from 2-4pm on Friday 22 June, will showcase mobile marketing solutions from around the world, and alsol include demonstrations of Location Based mobile marketing in a live environment, with real-time results.BLIP Systems and Nvolve will present an overview of how to use the mobile phone as an advertising medium, and how to provide the best user experience. They will also include presentations of brand case studies covering Bluetooth proximity marketing, SMS, MMS messaging and GPRS/WAP. In addition to presenting at the Content Showcase, the two companies will also be taking part in the exhibition surrounding the Festival. They can be found at Content Showcase Stand 10.10. The Mobile Marketing Association predicts that 89% of major brands are planning to market via mobile phones by 2008, and that more than half of brands are planning to spend up to 25% of their marketing budget on mobile marketing.
