Omar Hamoui, the CEO and Founder of mobile advertising marketplace AdMob, has made AdAge magazines list of the best young marketers under the age of 40.
Founded in early 2006, AdMob is growing rapidly and now serves more than one billion ads each month on its mobile Internet advertising network, attracting such brands as Coca-Cola, Atlantic Records and Paramount Pictures, along with hundreds of other companies using the AdMob Marketplace.
Hamoui is an entrepreneur with deep roots in the mobile industry. After founding and running several companies in mobile software and services, he became frustrated by the lack of available options for promoting and monetizing mobile products. Realizing that mobile service and content firms needed better ways to advertise and make money on the mobile web, Hamoui began to think more seriously about the untapped potential of mobile advertising and created AdMob to address the opportunity.
AdMob enables advertisers to target new customers on the mobile web and allows publishers to monetize traffic on their mobile sites, backed by real-time metrics and reporting. AdMob advertising solutions include text and banner ads. It enables advertisers to extend their reach to users across a set of targeting options, including such mobile content channels as sports, news and information, entertainment, mobile communities and portals. Publishers on the AdMob Marketplace are able to generate additional revenue streams from existing mobile traffic, enjoying industry-leading fill rates, typically exceeding 80% globally.
Its an honour to be featured among so many outstanding peers in the
marketing industry, says Hamoui. All of the AdMob team and our
partners have helped make this recognition possible. From our dedicated
sales force to our team of scientists focused on optimising our ad
serving, our team has truly been responsible for making AdMob the
leading advertising network in mobile. We appreciate the attention
AdAge has given our company.
The mobile industry is also represented on the list by John Hadl, CEO of mobile consultancy Brand in Hand. You can see the full list here.
