Adfonic Opens Up in Munich

Mobile ad network Adfonic has established a German base in Munich, and appointed Albert Pescheck as general manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The move follows strong growth for the company in the German-speaking region, where it is already driving over a billion ad requests per month.

Operating from the Munich office, Pescheck will leverage an extensive background in media sales to lead Adfonic’s business activities across the region. The company is currently hiring new business development staff to support its expansion. Recent research issued by PwC shows that the mobile advertising industry in Germany generated €88m (£73m) in 2011, a figure that is predicted to rise to €120m in 2012. Adfonic’s inventory includes over 10bn rich media-enabled impressions, allowing advertisers and agencies to plan and buy rich media campaigns on a global scale.

“I’m delighted to be establishing Adfonic’s on-the-ground operations in German-speaking Europe from the new office in Munich,” says Pescheck. “Our exclusive inventory and rich media capabilities mean that we can provide a unique service to our customers in the region. We bring globally-gained experience in the automotive, entertainment, communications, travel and retail sectors, combined with stringent publisher guidelines and quality client services to the D-A-CH market.”
The German office is the latest to regional office opened by Adfonic. In November 2011, the company opened up in Spain. In the US, it has offices in New York and  San Francisco, and in January, it opened an office in Singapore.
