Adult education college City Lit has launched its first mobile website. The site, designed and built by marketing company Amaze, details City Lits 3,900 courses.
The site is accessed by over 30,000 students, and contains forums for students user-generated content and information request forms.
Amaze says it has optimised the desktop site for mobile bringing the sites core functionality to the platform. The mobile site is integrated with the existing CMS and can be hosted on all major devices and operating systems – and Amaze says it will scale down when accessed on older devices.
“As a growing number of current and prospective students continue to access our site through their mobile devices, we recognised the business need to deliver a site which effectively engaged with this emerging mobile user base,” says Liora Ives, marketing director at City Lit. “By offering a dedicated mobile site, we are able to provide a more relevant and enhanced user experience, helping them to achieve their online goals. Furthermore, the new site provides a better user experience on older devices making City Lit and its services accessible to a larger audience.”
Natalie Gross, managing partner at Amaze, says: “This was an interesting project for us that was completed in conjunction with Underwired Amaze and is one of a number of collaborative efforts between our two agencies, bringing together both agencies knowledge and expertise and applying it to emerging technologies and social trends to deliver full service solutions for our clients.”
