Amazon has expanded its Generative AI tools to assist small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
According to the technology giant, the tool simplifies the listing process, allowing sellers to create product titles, descriptions, and other details by simply inputting a few descriptive words or uploading a product image.
Meanwhile, the company also utilises the tool to analyse and enhance existing product listings by automatically adding missing information and improving content quality, it said.

The news comes as a recent Amazon survey revealed that 70% of small business owners who have adopted Generative AI are experiencing benefits for their businesses due to the tool.
Meanwhile, UK early adopters highlight significant advantages such as time savings (79%), enhanced content quality (73%), improved profitability (73%), better customer service (72%), and expanded international reach (71%).
However, UK SME owners also stated that AI adoption could drastically reduce the time spent on writing product descriptions, from eight hours to just one per month and updating them from seven hours to one per month, on average.
Additionally, 32% of respondents believe AI-generated content could enhance product discoverability.
Amazon Vice President, Worldwide Selling Partner Services, Dharmesh Mehta, said: “Machine learning and generative AI are transforming every industry, and retail is no exception – everything from the shopping experience to fulfilment and logistics, to the tools we provide to sellers to help them succeed in our store.
“UK sellers can now benefit from innovations that leverage the power of generative AI to greatly simplify the process of product listing creation, as well as enrich existing product listings to better resonate with customers and help drive sales.”
