Amazon Launches Dash-enabled Home Products with Brother and GE

Amazon-Dash.pngAmazon has launched the first wave of devices integrating Dash Replenishment, which automatically reorders the relevant product – like printer ink or washing powder – when supplies are running low.

The initial rollout includes Brother printers, a GE washing machine and Gmates smart blood glucose monitor. The function can be used by owners of any compatible device – Brother has 45 models which work with Dash Replenishment – by signing up to via the manufacturers website.

“With Amazon Dash Replenishment, we want to make customers’ lives even easier so they won’t run out of items like laundry detergent, pet food or printer ink again—customers simply activate Dash Replenishment when they are setting up their connected device and then rely on Amazon to automatically deliver those everyday essentials,” said Daniel Rausch, Director, Amazon Devices. “It’s exciting to make Dash Replenishment a reality—customers can start taking advantage of the service today and we will continue to launch and add new devices to the program this year.”

Amazon also announced it has signed up Purell soap and Whirlpools Smart Dishwasher as new brands in the Dash Replenishment program.
