Amazon is rumoured to be working on a Kindle Fire 7? tablet selling for just $99 (£65).
Despite the low price point, TechCrunch reports, the device will feature a TI processor, just like the rest of the Kindle Fire devices, and 1280×600 display, the same resolution as the current Kindle Fire HD 7” – which is currently priced at $199.
This would put the device in a slightly different market to the one Amazon is currently operating in, putting it in the same bracket as the sub-$100 low-end Android tablets, an area currently dominated by Chinese manufacturers. 
By comparison, Amazon recently cut the price of its 8.9″ Kindle Fire HD tablet – but even that only brought the device down to €269.
