Amazon has tripled its Dash Button range, enabling consumers to pick from over 100 dedicated connected devices that can instantly reorder specific everyday products through the internet retailer.
The expansion brings in new brands including Charmin, Energiser, Starbucks, Trojan, Doritos and Purina, and means that Dash Buttons are now available for retail verticals as diverse as feminine care, snacks, office products and pet supplies.
Prime orders through Dash Buttons have grown by over 75 per cent in the last three months, and now take place more than once a minute. Dash Buttons are available to Prime members in the US, and cost $4.99 (£3.50) but include a $4.99 credit to the buyers Amazon account, making them essentially free.
“Were thrilled with the positive response weve seen for Dash Buttons – and we heard loud and clear from customers that they wanted more brands, more categories and more products in the program,” said Daniel Rausch, director of Amazon Dash. “Were excited to now offer over 100 Dash Buttons representing top-name brands across dozens of retail categories and thousands of product options.”
“PepsiCo is always looking for new and innovative ways for shoppers to engage with our brands,” said David Orr, global customer lead for PepsiCo. “The Dash Button was one of those unique opportunities. We have been very pleased with shopped feedback and engagement since the launch and look forward to expanded learnings moving forward.”
