Amobee Hires Barker and Long to Drive European Growth

David BarkerAmobee has appointed David Barker as senior vice president and managing director for EMEA advertising solutions, and David Long as vice president of commercial EMEA. The hires are part of a drive by the company to expand its presence into Germany and other key European and Middle Eastern countries.

Barker has held a number of global and EMEA executive advertising positions at Nokia, including global head of channel advertising and director of interactive advertising. He joined Nokia via the handset maker’s 2007 acquisition of Enpocket, where he was European Managing Director. Barker has also held a number of board positions at leading advertising industry associations.

Long, an experienced executive and entrepreneur with a track record for building and managing successful revenue growth for digital organizations in the UK, Europe and the US, will be responsible for business development in the region and driving customer acquisitions. Long previously served as a partner at CE Capital and Close Quarter and is best known as former CEO of Skinkers, a technical digital agency that received investment by Microsoft and was acquired by IMI Mobile.
