Amobee Spends $385m to Acquire Adconion and Kontera

AmobeeSingtel-owned Amobee has acquired Adconion, a cross-channel digital ad company, for $235m (£140m), and Kontera, a digital content intelligence firm, for $150m.

Adconion, which consists of two parts, Adconion Direct North America and Adconion Australia, offers ad solutions for display, video, email and social across devices from a unified technology platform.

“We have admired Amobee’s strong mobile technology capabilities and expertise and are thrilled to combine our two companies to become the undisputed leader in the global digital marketing space,” said Adconion Direct CEO Kim Perell. “With Amobee, we can now offer our customers a complete suite of digital marketing solutions combined in a single platform.”

Kontera, meanwhile, offers a real-time digital content analysis platform for mobile, web and social networks, intended to help advertisers and agencies make real-time decisions campaigns to improve ROI.
