AnyJunk Launches Rubbish App

Britain’s largest on-demand rubbish clearance company, AnyJunk, has launched an iPhone app that enables users to dispose of their rubbish with a few taps on their phone’s screen.

Jason Mohr, founder of the waste disposal company, says that with the proliferation of smartphone use, it was a logical move for the firm provide an app to make it easier and more efficient for customers to communicate with AnyJunk to organise waste collection. “There’s an app for just about every life situation nowadays, but as far as I know this is the first app that gets your rubbish collected,” he says.

The app enables users to log the required information, so that AnyJunk can quote for the removal job. The welcome screen offers a button to tap to video the junk to be removed. Then comes a multi-choice screen for picking a convenient collection time – the more flexible the timing the cheaper the service. The third screen requires the user to enter the location of the rubbish, then the final screen runs a check on all the information that has been input, allows for amendments, and finally sends an email to AnyJunk requesting a quote, which is emailed back to the customer in rapid time.

“No-one has an excuse for putting off getting that junk pile out of the way now, whether it be at the office, at home or in the garden,” says Mohr. “It’s just a case of tapping an app, and we’ll dispose of it all responsibly.”

AnyJunk, which has impeccable green credentials and has won awards for its service, responsible recycling and waste auditing practices, has operating centres in Bristol, Birmingham, Essex, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle and Southampton.
