App Annie Launches Mobile Ad Analytics Platform

App Annie has integrated data from seven of the largest mobile ad networks in a bid to create a comprehensive platform for developers to analyse ad spend, revenue and performance metrics for their apps.

Users will now be able to see CPM and CPC metrics in one dashboard along with downloads, revenues, rankings and reviews, which were already available through App Annie’s free platform. The data is available across different apps, app stores, countries and campaigns – essentially enabling marketers to see which ad networks are performing well where and adjust their strategy accordingly. VP global corporate communications Marcos Sanchez told Mobile Marketing that after its $15m round of funding, this was the ‘logical next step.

AdMob, Chartboost, iAd, jumptap, MdotM, Tapit! and Tapjoy are the first networks to have their data aggregated by App Annie. The company is in talks with a number of others, including Facebook. It hasn’t yet integrated engagement metrics, but Sanchez said they are looking into this.

The platform is currently free and Sanchez said App Annie is focused on bringing in more ad networks and more data points, but an equivalent paid-for product may be on the horizon.
