Facebook is the most downloaded app of the decade, while Subway Surfers is the most downloaded game of the decade, and Netflix is the app with the highest consumer spend of the decade.

The figures come from App Annie, drawing on its mobile market data. The most downloaded apps of the decade are dominated by social media, with Facebook followed by, in order, Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat, Skype, TikTok, UC Browser, YouTube and Twitter.

In the consumer spend rankings for the decade, Netflix is followed by Tinder, Pandora Music, Tencent Video, Line, iQIYI, Spotify, YouTube, HBO Now and Kwai.

In the games chart for the decade, Subway Surfers is followed by Candy Crush Saga; Temple Run 2; My Talking Tom; Clash of Clans; Pou; Hill Climb Racing; Minion Rush; Fruit Ninja; and 8 Ball Pool.

The top game by all-time spend over the past decade is Clash of Clans, followed by Monster Strike; Candy Crush Saga; Puzzle & Dragons; and Fate/Grand Order.

Looking at 2019, the top five apps by download numbers are Messenger, Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok and Instagram. The top apps by consumer spend are Tinder, Netflix, Tencent Video, iQIYI and YouTube. And the top games by consumer spend are Fate/Grand Order; Honour of Kings; Candy Crush Saga; Monster Strike; and Lineage M.
