PapayaMobiles mobile advertising network AppFlood has launched its mobile RTB (Real-Time Bidding) platform, the first to be engineered and made available in China.
Until now, technical barriers had prevented existing RTB platforms from operating in the country, due to an inability to process bids quickly enough.
“With the launch of AppFlood’s complete RTB platform there is finally a simple but effective way to bridge the gap between the East and West, meaning that truly global campaigns are finally possible,” said Si Shen, CEO and founder of PapayaMobile. “As international brands and advertisers continue to spend ever more on mobile, AppFlood’s RTB solution will help meet the tremendous demand from Chinese advertisers for global inventory, and vice versa.”
AppFlood is using Amazon Web Services (AWS) server architecture to support its RTB infrastructure and reduce the high level of latency often caused by cross-continent ad delivery. It has also partnered with OpenX to ensure there is sufficient ad inventory available at launch.
